Robot Mower Warranties: What Coverage Really Includes
A robot mower warranty is rarely one simple number. The mower may have one coverage period while its battery, charger, dock, RTK station, blades and other components have different terms. Commercial use can also change or eliminate coverage.
Yard Robot Lab treats warranty data as a specification. We record the component, period, exclusions, source and verification date so that a “3-year warranty” badge does not hide a shorter battery warranty or excluded wear parts.
What YRL records
For each model we aim to record machine/core coverage, battery coverage, charger or docking-station coverage, positioning hardware, accessories, consumables, commercial-use terms, transferability, registration requirements, service process, shipping responsibility, geographic restrictions, official source and date verified.
Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD
Mammotion’s current U.S. after-sales policy lists the LUBA 3 AWD Series battery, motor, LiDAR vision module, PCBA, GPS kit, charging station and applicable RTK reference station with a three-year limited warranty period. Mammotion also sells model-specific extended-warranty products, so YRL will keep standard warranty and optional paid protection separate.
Mammotion’s 2026 LUBA 3 materials also describe a built-in 4G module with three years of free data. Its 4G terms state that the built-in module carries the same three-year warranty as the device. The data-service period is not the same thing as hardware warranty coverage, so those belong in different fields.
Segway Navimow X Series
Navimow’s current limited-warranty policy lists X-series models including X420, X430, X450 and X460 with three years of product coverage, while the battery pack and power adapters are listed at two years. This is a good example of why a comparison should not display only the longest warranty number.
Yarbo as a cross-category example
Yarbo is not merely a mower company; its modular Core supports multiple yard tasks. Its 2026 residential warranty currently provides two years of standard limited coverage for eligible products, while specific consumables are excluded. On the lawn-mower module, blades, discs and caster wheels are listed as consumables. On the snow-blower module, skid shoes, belts and scraper components are listed as consumables.
Yarbo’s standard policy also excludes commercial, professional and rental use and states that coverage applies to the original purchaser. Those details are more useful to an owner than a generic “2-year warranty” label.
Wear parts are usually a separate ownership question
Blades, cutting discs, belts, scraper bars and similar parts wear because they do work. Their exclusion from defect coverage does not by itself imply poor durability. YRL therefore separates warranty exclusions from reliability evidence. We will not label a component failure-prone merely because a manufacturer classifies it as a consumable.
Battery warranty deserves its own column
Batteries are expensive enough that their coverage can materially affect ownership risk. A mower with a three-year machine warranty and a two-year battery warranty is meaningfully different from one that covers both for three years. Replacement-battery availability and price should also be considered after warranty expiration.
Extended warranties are not standard warranties
Optional protection plans can add useful coverage, but they should never be blended into the standard warranty in a comparison table. Eligibility windows, retailer restrictions, covered components and accidental-damage terms can differ.
YRL will therefore display optional protection separately, with its current price and eligibility conditions when known.
Our comparison rule
If a manufacturer does not clearly state a warranty term, YRL will use Not stated in published warranty terms rather than infer coverage. Warranty policies can change, so every comparison should show when the terms were last verified and link to the manufacturer’s current policy.
