WORX WR310 vs WR320 vs WR340: Which Vision Cloud Mower Fits Your Yard?
WORX WR310 vs WR320 vs WR340 is a choice among three wire-free Landroid Vision Cloud robot mowers aimed at three different lawn sizes. The useful question is not simply which one covers the most acreage: it is whether a two-wheel-drive mower, cloud RTK coverage and the exact package offered by a seller fit your yard. This comparison uses manufacturer documents and retailer listings; Yard Robot Lab has not field-tested these machines.

WORX WR310 vs WR320 vs WR340: quick choice
| Model | Manufacturer-rated area | Best starting point | Buying option |
|---|---|---|---|
| WR310 | Up to 1/4 acre | A small, connected lawn with manageable slopes | View WR310 on Amazon |
| WR320 | Up to 1/2 acre | A medium lawn that needs more rated capacity | View WR320 on Amazon |
| WR340 | Up to 1 acre | A larger lawn whose routes and grades still suit 2WD | View WR340 on Amazon |
Those acreage figures describe manufacturer-rated mowing area, not the total size of a parcel. Subtract the house, driveway, woods, beds and other space the mower will never cut. If your mowable area is near a model’s limit, ask about schedule, charging and growth rate before assuming the next size is necessary. A larger rating does not turn a two-wheel-drive machine into an all-wheel-drive slope mower.
Three checks before you buy any of the three
1. Check RTK Cloud availability at your address
Vision Cloud combines camera-based mapping and V-SLAM with RTK correction delivered through a service rather than an antenna installed in your yard. WORX presents an address-based RTK coverage check on its product pages. Run that check for the actual mowing property, then ask how the mower handles your shaded passages and buildings. A general statement that it works under trees does not prove reliable travel along your particular fence, driveway or return route. See our guide to robot mowers under trees for a property walk-through.
2. Measure the slope where the mower must turn
WORX documentation rates this two-wheel-drive family for slopes up to 30% (about 17 degrees). Measure the steepest sustained ground, the boundary turn and the path to the dock. Wet grass, exposed roots or a sharp transition can create a problem even when an average grade looks acceptable. If a critical route exceeds the rating, compare an appropriate 4WD model or another installation instead of buying the one-acre WR340 just because your lawn is large. Our steep-hill guide explains why slope location matters.
3. Confirm the exact SKU and contents
The Amazon links above identify WR310, WR320 and WR340 by product ID. WORX also lists WR310.1 and WR320.1 on its current store. The manufacturer manual distinguishes some features and included equipment between base and .1 variants, including Cut-to-Zero availability. Do not assume an Amazon photo, a family-level description or a manufacturer’s page for WR310.1 describes the WR310 package. Check the model plate or seller’s specific item number, included charging equipment, battery, blades and any edging module before ordering. A bundled accessory can change the total cost more than a small difference in mower price.
Which model fits each lawn?
WR310: start here for a small lawn
The WR310’s 1/4-acre rating makes it the most focused option of these three for a compact yard. It makes sense when the mowable turf, not just the lot, stays comfortably within that size and the mower can reach all zones. A front lawn separated from the back by a fence, gate or driveway needs a route plan. Ask whether it can travel between zones and return to its dock without being carried. If not, count manual moves as an ongoing chore. This is a researched fit judgment, not a performance test.
WR320: a capacity step for a medium lawn
The WR320 moves the rated area to 1/2 acre without changing the central setup question: the buyer still needs workable cloud correction, appropriate grades and a connected path. It may be the sensible middle choice when a WR310 would operate close to its area ceiling. Compare the exact WR320 listing against WR320.1 rather than treating those names as identical. If the property has steep or rutted sections, larger acreage capacity alone will not solve traction.
WR340: one-acre coverage, with the same terrain limits
The WR340 is rated for up to one acre and remains in the two-wheel-drive Vision Cloud family. For a large open lawn with moderate grades, it is the relevant model to investigate. For an acre split into awkward zones, evaluate the passage widths, charging location and coverage across the entire route. Its wide acreage rating is not a promise that a complex acre finishes on your preferred schedule. The manufacturer’s manual gives the WR340 the same 30% slope rating, so do not call it the hill specialist in this lineup.
A small steep lawn: consider WR341 4WD instead
If your mowable grass is under 1/4 acre but the route genuinely needs more traction, the separate WORX WR341 Vision Cloud 4WD deserves investigation. WORX rates it for up to 1/4 acre and advertises an 84% (40-degree) maximum slope. That is a manufacturer rating, not a guarantee at a wet boundary, near a drop-off or on a rough turning point. Check RTK coverage and the exact seller package just as carefully as for the 2WD models. The WR341 is a different machine from WR340 despite the similar number.
View the WR341 4WD listing on Amazon. Confirm it is WR341 and what comes in the box before ordering. For maintenance, search WR341 blades, then match the official part number and hardware.
Ownership costs: blades, edges and the dock
Start the cost comparison with what arrives in the exact box. Then account for any optional Cut-to-Zero edging module, a garage if you want one, replacement blades and any work to prepare a route to the charger. WORX identifies its normal Vision Cloud blades as kit WA0719, compatible with WR310, WR320 and WR340 as well as several other variants; the kit includes screws. Verify the identifier and the seller’s fit statement before buying a marketplace listing. The manufacturer lists the garage WA0828 and Cut-to-Zero module WA0927 as compatible with these three, but availability and package contents can change.
For current seller options, search Amazon for WA0719 blade kits. A search result is not a verified genuine part or a fit guarantee. Our parts finder has separate model searches and a checklist for checking the mower’s label, blade kit and fasteners. Diagnose cutting or charging symptoms before buying a costly component.
Who should skip this lineup?
- Properties above the slope limit: compare a mower rated for the measured terrain, including the turn and boundary, rather than stretching a 2WD claim.
- Addresses without suitable RTK Cloud coverage: complete the manufacturer coverage check and ask about the actual shaded zones before paying.
- Disconnected lawns without a practical transit route: decide whether carrying the mower is acceptable before calling the system autonomous.
- Buyers expecting a brush cutter: these machines maintain ordinary grass. Tall, woody or neglected growth requires a different first-cut plan and possibly different equipment.
Buying options and next steps
If the yard passes the coverage, slope and route checks, choose the smallest model with sufficient rated mowing area and the features you actually need. Compare the exact Amazon product listing against the current manufacturer package. Check the WR310 listing for a small lawn, the WR320 listing for a medium lawn or the WR340 listing for a larger lawn. Check the current price and availability at Amazon; YRL does not display a live price.
Common questions
Is the WR340 better than the WR320 on steep hills? Its one-acre rating addresses lawn size. It does not raise the manufacturer’s 30% slope limit for this 2WD family. Measure the grade and consider a properly rated 4WD alternative if the route requires one.
Does “wire-free” mean nothing has to be installed? No. You still need a charging location, map and safe boundaries. Confirm cloud correction coverage and the route between mowing zones before ordering.
Are WR310 and WR310.1 the same purchase? No. Treat the suffix as part of the SKU and compare the seller’s exact package with the manufacturer’s model-specific manual. In particular, check the edging module and included accessories instead of inferring them from family-level marketing.
What if my grass is already overgrown? Prepare it with an appropriate conventional cut first. A maintenance mower is designed to keep a manageable lawn trimmed, not reclaim brush.
