Who should investigate the 3000 AWD?
The 3000 AWD is most relevant when the actual mowing area approaches or exceeds the capacity of the 2000 AWD, or when a property benefits from the model’s dual-map and high-zone-count capabilities. Do not use total lot size: measure only the turf the mower must actually cut. A house, driveway, woods, pool and garden beds do not belong in the mowing-area calculation.
Steep slopes and AWD
MOVA publishes an 80% maximum slope rating, equivalent to about 38.6 degrees. The four-wheel-drive system uses four hub motors. Those specifications make the 3000 AWD relevant to steep-yard comparisons, but the maximum rating should not be interpreted as a promise that every section at that grade is suitable. Boundary conditions, turns, wet ground, drop-offs and transitions require separate evaluation.
No boundary wire or RTK station
The Ultra 3000 AWD uses virtual mapping rather than a buried guide/perimeter wire. MOVA also states that its UltraView 3.0 navigation does not require an RTK station. The system combines 360-degree 3D LiDAR with dual AI vision, which can be attractive where a buyer wants to avoid both wire installation and an external satellite-positioning base station.
Battery and cutting system
The published battery specification is 36 V, 7.5 Ah and 243 Wh. MOVA lists approximately 150–170 minutes of runtime per charge and about 65 minutes to charge from 15% to 95%. Two cutting discs provide a 15.8-inch working width, while electronic height adjustment covers approximately 1.2 to 3.9 inches.
Setup, package and ongoing costs
MOVA’s U.S. 3000 AWD listing shows the mower, charging station, power supply, eight stakes and a hex key, guides, nine spare blades with screws, screwdriver, cleaning brush and lint-free cloth. Verify the seller bundle before purchase; do not assume a mower garage or an AirTag is included. MOVA lists a 2.4-inch maximum vertical crossing, which is a different constraint from the headline slope rating. Inspect curbs, roots, ruts and path transitions on the route to the dock.
Measure mowable turf on each map and leave capacity margin for complex routing or missed mowing days. MOVA lists up to 0.75 acre per map, dual-map support and up to 150 zones. A separate mapped lawn may still require a workable physical transfer plan. Observe the first runs at edges, drop-offs, beds and narrow passages, especially on wet ground. The anti-theft features include location tracking and optional AirTag compatibility; MOVA lists three years of included 4G service, so confirm the current plan after that period.
Warranty
MOVA’s current U.S. warranty policy lists three years for the robotic mower main unit/motor and two years for the battery pack. Consumable mower blades are not covered as ordinary warranty items. Warranty eligibility depends on the current policy and purchase channel, so retain proof of purchase and verify the terms when ordering.
3000 AWD versus 2000 AWD
Both AWD models share the headline 80% slope capability, AWD architecture, 15.8-inch cutting system and UltraView 3.0 navigation. The 3000 AWD’s key advantage on paper is capacity: up to 0.75 acre per map versus 0.5 acre per map for the 2000 AWD. Both AWD models support dual maps. A smaller property does not automatically benefit from paying for additional acreage capacity, so compare actual mowing area and terrain.
